Looking to 2025: Big Plans for the Year Ahead

Looking to 2025: Big Plans for the Year Ahead 1

2024 was a year full of creativity, challenges, and growth. I’m incredibly proud of many of the models I created and deeply grateful for the positive responses from the community. Being recognized as a Top 1% Designer on Thangs and winning competitions in several designer categories were huge milestones. These moments weren’t just about recognition—they were about pushing my creative limits, connecting with others, and bringing unique designs to life.

2024: A Year of Competitions and Community

Last year, my main focus was on design contests. The prizes, exposure, and opportunities they offered were incredibly appealing. They also enabled me to invest in printers I couldn’t have afforded otherwise. While I’m proud of what I achieved, this year, I’ll be stepping back from contests as a primary focus. That doesn’t mean I’ll never enter again—who knows, I might surprise everyone with a submission now and then!

Beyond the contests, one of the highlights of 2024 was interacting with both old and new friends in the community. Whether it was sharing design tips, discussing printing setups, or just chatting in hangouts, these connections have meant so much.

2025: Refocusing on Membership Platforms

Looking to 2025: Big Plans for the Year Ahead 2

Towards the end of 2024, I noticed a dropoff in membership numbers. Part of it was likely due to my being sick and burnt out in December, and I wasn’t able to dedicate the time and energy my members deserved. That’s something I’m determined to change this year.

By shifting focus away from contests, I’ll have more time and energy to dedicate to my membership platforms: Thangs Membership, Patreon, and Printables Club. These platforms are where I’ll share exclusive original designs, mythological creatures, and technical models. Additionally, I’m planning to finally complete the Fenrir CoreXY project and, after that, move on to the Ymir CrossXY printer. There will also be occasional printer upgrade designs sprinkled in.

On MakerWorld, I’ll focus specifically on exclusive upgrades and add-ons for Bambu Lab printers, like the Skull Extruder Front Cover and Eye Extruder Cover. Expect more designs in this category!

Venturing into Video Content and Streaming

This year, I’m planning to dip my toes deeper into video content and live streaming. While I’m still working on the details, you can expect content like:

  • Model showcases and project updates
  • Live sculpting sessions
  • How-to tutorials
  • Product reviews
  • Casual hangout streams

At first, the schedule might be a little sporadic, but my goal is to find a rhythm that works for both me and my audience.

The Community Hub: My Private Discord

My private Discord server remains one of my favorite spaces to hang out and connect with the community. It’s not just a place for updates—it’s a space to share ideas, collaborate, and have fun. We often have video hangouts where we chat about 3D printing, gaming, and more. Lately, we’ve been enjoying games like PUBG, Valheim, and Enshrouded.

As I continue working on the Fenrir CoreXY, I’ll also share exclusive updates and possibly some video content specifically for Discord members.

How You Can Support My Journey

Being an independent designer comes with its fair share of challenges. Every bit of support on Thangs Membership, Patreon, or Printables Club helps me cover expenses—whether it’s upgrading equipment, maintaining printers, or improving my workspace.

Some of the key things I’m looking to upgrade soon include:

  • Camera gear for better video content
  • A new tablet to replace my aging Huion Kamvas 13
  • PC hardware upgrades to keep up with design and editing demands

It’s a long list, and sometimes it feels like there’s always something new that needs attention—but that’s the reality of being a small designer-creator!

Looking Forward to 2025

I don’t have every detail planned yet, but I’m excited about the direction I’m heading. My focus will be on creating quality designs, building stronger connections with my community, and exploring new creative outlets through video and streaming.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far. Whether you’re a supporter, a friend, or just someone who loves 3D printing—2025 is going to be an exciting year, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Let’s make it a great one together. 🚀✨
